Lechmere MBTA Station
| Cambridge MA
The design for improvements to Lechmere Station is a $45 million intermodal transportation center project combining improved light rail service, with joint development opportunities of an 84-acre site in an historic neighborhood adjacent to the station. The station will serve the MBTA’s Green Line light rail transit system and four intercity bus routes, taxi and commuter drop-off; parking for 200 automobiles.
Additional features of the new facility include a train viaduct, electric substation, and storage track.
